Welcome Home A Place Called Home ~ A Ministry Dept. of A.C.T. Intl. Welcome Home

Encouraging the church, civic organizations and communities to meet the needs of America's orphans!

MY FATHER'S HOUSE RANCH

My Father's House Ranch is a 4.5 acre property in central Alabama. This facility currently includes the organization's headquarters and one home. Plans are in development to identify a larger property that will allow the ministry to provide recreational facilities to include picnic, swimming and fishing; an equine therapy facility; summer camp facilities for foster and adoptive families and respite facilities tailored for the unique needs of these children and the families that are called to help them.

The ranch setting is designed to help facilitate mentorship and support of the children and the foster parents through the strenth of community.  The mutual support of multuiple families will allow for the development of even stronger families.

MEET THE WHYTE'S

Steve and Stephanie Whyte have a passion for helping hurting children. God first laid the call on their hearts over 12 years ago. They knew they always wanted to have a ranch for hurting kids, but it was not until after the adoption of their first two boys, out of the foster care system, that God revealed that these children were right here in America. Children in foster care do not choose to be born to families that have problems; but even though they are, they deserve unconditional, love, encouragment, hope, and a place to belong just like any other child ... but maybe even more. So many people seek to find a child to love forever in other countries, but the Whyte's truly belive these wonderful kids are right here in America.  It is the hope that with this ministry they can help those kids find the perfect fit in a family that can love them forever.

Their current family consists of 3 biological children, 6 adopted children out of the foster care system and an ever changing number of foster children. It is the heart of the whole family to work together as a team, to love and support each other, to share the love they have been given in order to meet someone else's needs at any given moment.
