Home is the place that offers security, warmth, and most importantly love.
Home is where a family takes care of one another.
Home is not only where we live, but is the source of our support and strength.
For many children home is not these things. Home is a place of hurt, unhappiness
and loneliness. These children need a place to call home. A place where they can get the affection, love and support they need to grow up. A place to learn how to fulfill their biggest dreams,a place to feel like they have purpose, a place to
learn how to become fantastic parents to their own children. A place where
they will always be able to come home to for the holidays.
For over 500,000 children in America this home is not with their biological parents or even relatives, it is with a parent that cares enough to open up their hearts and lives in order to love them as their very own.
These parents are known as foster or adoptive parents.
A Place Called Home Ministries was created to be a voice for
these children and to educate people on the truths of this "mission field" called
the Foster Care System.
Our desire is to partner with local government agencies and those parents called by God to
provide loving and nurturing families to these special children. It is the goal of the ministry to help fill the gap between what government
agencies are able to provide and what these children really need by offering
emotional, physical, monetary, and spritual support. By doing this the cycle
of pain and hopelessness can be broken and these children can be whole.
